To different degrees of scale and dramatic effect, the architectural narrative in each of these images of Palma — of the cathedral, of the 15th century former maritime exchange and of the deconsecrated Oratori de Sant Feliu — has a strong vertical emphasis. The eye is variously drawn upward via spirals, steps and patterns of texture and light.
