Enduring inspiration…
Taken during a recent visit to the twelfth-century Cistercian Abbey of Le Thoronet in Provence, Harry Crowder’s photographs coincide with the twentieth anniversary of the exhibition John Pawson, Leçons du Thoronet. Comprising a book and twelve specially designed benches sited within the architecture and its environs, the 2006 installation was conceived as an exercise in observation and reflection.
