‘…. of course collaboration is hugely important. One does, for a while, become family’. Julie Andrews

Working collaboratively goes right to the heart of architectural practice. It’s what we do every day in the studio and bringing new voices into these creative conversations only strengthens them. There is particular pleasure in working with specialist makers, such as the weavers of the Spanish textile company, Teixidors. Everything designed within the studio needs to be crafted, whether it be the detail of a building, a piece of furniture, ceramic objects or a spoon. Each ultimately relies on a craftsperson to make the design a reality. There is something particularly appealing about the opportunity of working with hand processes, where small variations form a natural aspect of the character of what is made.
