Charged limbo

More than ever the farmhouse on the Oxfordshire-Gloucestershire border exists in a charged limbo between two lives. The process of advancing towards a condition of minimum has few more graphic expressions than this meticulous process of paring away. Newly opened volumes and vistas are flooded with light that in some places further bleaches the freshly exposed surfaces and structural elements and in others quietly illuminates the subtlest gradations of tone and texture.
