A Third Perspective
For a period in October, including Vienna Design Week, Perspectives is installed beneath the cupola of the city’s Kunsthistorisches Museum, this being the third waypoint on a journey that began in 2011 at the foot of the Geometric Staircase in St Paul’s Cathedral in London, before moving on to Palladio’s Basilica di San Giorgio Maggiore in Venice. Consistent is the way that, wherever it is placed, the piece quietly gathers and assimilates visual information and offers it back to the viewer, acting as much as a tool for curating space as for looking at it in fresh ways.
