The bench was originally designed for an
exhibition held in the twelfth Cistercian abbey of Le Thoronet in
Provence, May 6th - July 31st 2006.
Available in terrazzo and timber variants, the bench is conceived as a single form which may be used in a variety of orientations. Each orientation suggests a particular attitude of use, encompassing sitting, lying and leaning - in the manner of a medieval misericord.
