The entrance to the Runkel Hue-Williams Gallery is concealed between two walls, the effect being to draw in the visitor. Quiet white walls on one side of an otherwise unlit corridor reflect spotlights mounted in the wood floor, providing a counterpoint to the even light of the gallery space ahead and giving the passageway a rhythm which corresponds to the pace of the person passing through. A distinctive notched opening affords a receptionist seated behind the wall discreet views into the body of the gallery.
