Kerlin Gallery

Natural light filters into the gallery from above, allowing art
to be viewed in optimal conditions. The ceiling – an immaculate white
plane which appears to be floating in space - is used as a means to
control artificial light when daylight levels fall.
Throughout, visual distraction is rigorously pared away: these are spaces which are free from
visible doors, switches or sockets, where skirtings are omitted in
order to minimise the transition between floor and wall and where a
poured concrete floor does away with the distraction of surface pattern.
